Your wedding doesn’t have to end the minute you cut the cake. If you’re the type who wants to actually dance until midnight, linger over dessert with your favorite people, and let the night unfold without someone rushing you out the door, you need a space built for that kind of freedom.
Le Loft is a 4,800 square foot converted factory in Wicker Park, owned by three Chicago women who’ve spent 15+ years in the city’s wedding scene. We built this space for couples who want to celebrate on their own timeline, not a venue’s curfew. Events run until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, and here’s how to make the most of it.
What Makes a Wedding Space Work for All-Day Celebrations
Most wedding venues feel transactional; you’re in at 6, out by 10, with staff clearing plates while your guests are still dancing. If you’re planning an intimate wedding, you need a space designed for how people actually celebrate: slowly, authentically, without someone flipping the lights on at 9:45.
The Space Has to Feel Right After Dark
Le Loft sits on the edge of Logan Square and Bucktown. We’ve got two sides separated by barn doors. The West Side has a permanent dance floor with moody lighting that gets better as the night goes on. The East Side is brighter, perfect for dinner and cocktails before everyone moves to dance.
When the sun goes down, the factory windows reflect the city into the space. Our disco ball and uplights create the right atmosphere without you renting extra equipment. The Sonos sound system reaches every corner, and the exposed brick and high ceilings absorb sound so music doesn’t overwhelm conversation.
The barn doors between spaces let you control the reveal. Dinner happens on one side while the dance floor waits on the other. When the moment’s right, you open the doors. It builds anticipation instead of having everything visible from minute one.
Capacity That Actually Works
Le Loft holds 99 guests cocktail-style or 78 seated. Most late-night hosts book both sides because it gives people options. The dance floor stays packed while others take breaks without feeling like they’re missing the party.
We set up all tables, chairs, and linens before you arrive. Two bathrooms and two kitchenettes mean no bottleneck at 11 PM when everyone’s been drinking and dancing.

How to Feed Your Guests Throughout the Night
When your wedding runs past 10 PM, you can’t serve dinner at 7 and call it done. With our BYOB policy and open catering, you control the pacing. Work with caterers like Vendador or Cooking with Cuellar, who understand how to keep guests energized without overwhelming them with a late-night dessert bar, refreshed appetizers at 10, and coffee service when dancing starts.
The Blue Disco Room
The Blue Disco Room gives your celebration flexibility. Early in the evening, it’s a cocktail lounge. Later, it becomes whatever you need: a quiet space for older guests, an intimate dance floor for your closest friends, or just somewhere to escape and catch your breath. Not everyone celebrates the same way, and this space lets your wedding feel personal for all 99 people.

Music That Builds
Our Sonos system works with your playlist or a DJ. The vendors on our list DJ Tess, Toast and Jam, and Gordan Bromli, understand how to build energy over five hours without forcing it.
Start with dinner music. Build to dance around 9 PM. Peak between 10:30 and 11:30. If you’re running your own playlist, make sure it’s long enough. Nothing kills momentum like silence at 11 PM while someone scrambles for songs.
What You Need to Know
Timeline: Most events start between 6 and 7 PM, giving you five to six hours. Cocktails for the first hour, dinner by 8, and the dance floor opening around 9:30. This pacing lets energy build naturally.
Getting home: Le Loft is near North and Western, with public transit close by. For late-night events, rideshare makes more sense than parking. Wicker Park stays active late, so your guests aren’t standing alone on an empty street.
Extensions: Events run until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. If you need to go later, talk to us early in planning.
Insurance: Required for events with over 40 guests. Most vendors can point you to affordable options.
Dogs: Welcome for ceremonies, but need to leave before food and drink service starts.
End the Night Your Way
Le Loft was built by three Chicago women Emily, Maggie, and Kelly with 15+ years in the city’s wedding scene. This space was designed by artists for couples who want something different: intimate, authentic, and unmistakably Chicago.
